Pamela’s Restaurant

is so close you can smell the pancakes! (get directions)

World. Famous. Pancakes. Theoretically we could end the post there, but in the interest of professional journalism we’ll give you a bit more. For those of you who haven’t already left your screen and journeyed down to Pamela’s here goes. This is a Pittsburgh institution. The pancakes are so good that President Obama flew Pamela to the White House to serve them for breakfast. The atmosphere is decidedly old style diner all the way. Be sure to get there early because the lines on Saturday and Sunday morning are usually long. Rain, Snow, Blizzard, it won’t matter. People line up early and often. One of the major benefits of staying at Signature Suites¬†is that no matter which suite you pick, you can roll out of bed and get a world class breakfast. We can’t recommend you get the Chocolate Chip Pancakes without a legal waiver but let’s just say that if they happen to appear on the table you have been warned. For hours and information visit them on their web site.
